Hi there,
I’m a maker, dreamer and stitcher at heart and this is my little cozy corner of the internet where I share the things I love creating. You’ll find plenty of sewing, crafting and embroidery tutorials here, along with a peek behind the scenes at the ideas and projects I’m working on. Sometimes I’m threading a needle and other days I’m bringing a new whimsical character to life!

Where It All Began…

My journey into sewing and design began after watching the entire process of my quinceañera dress being made. Seeing fabric transform into something so beautiful and meaningful sparked something in me, and I instantly fell in love with the art of sewing. Inspired by that experience, I signed up for sewing classes in high school and quickly realized that this was more than just a hobby—I wanted to turn my passion into a career.

That path eventually led me to earn an A.A. in Fashion Design and Merchandising, along with certificates in Embroidery, Apparel Product Development and 3D Fashion Illustration. Over the years, I’ve loved learning new techniques and finding new ways to bring my ideas to life. Combining traditional sewing techniques with modern technology has become one of my favorite parts of the creative process.

While working on my senior project in college, I noticed something that stuck with me; many costumes for children simply weren’t warm enough for cooler weather.
Determined to create something that was both magical and practical, I started experimenting with fleece, tulle, and boa feathers to design my original ghost ponchos. What started as a class project quickly grew into something much bigger. Soon after, I began taking commissions and sharing my creations at local events and markets. As more people discovered my work and interest continued to grow, I decided after graduating to take the next step and open my Etsy shop in 2015, bringing my creations online and beginning the next chapter of my journey as a maker. |

As I continued sharing my creative process and behind-the-scenes, people became more and more interested in not just the finished pieces, but in making them themselves. I started hearing the same question over and over; "Do you sell your patterns?" For a few years, my answer was no. I wasn’t quite ready to take that step yet. Then, in 2022, I finally decided to take the leap and begin a new chapter in my creative journey by sharing my patterns with fellow makers. Today, I create digital sewing patterns, embroidery files and cut files. My goal is to make sewing feel fun, approachable and exciting.

Alongside my pattern designs, I’m also having fun creating my own fabric designs on Spoonflower. I love the idea of designing fabrics that pair with my sewing patterns and give makers even more ways to bring their projects to life. I’m also especially excited to keep growing the whimsical world of Sewphie Boo--a friendly little ghost who loves to sew—along with her spooky-cute friends!
